At certain locations on this site, there may be references to the acronym GALAXe (Gays And Lesbians At Xerox) and there may be found a GALAXe logo which included a digitized colored X with the tag line "a Xerox Employee Resource Group for gays and lesbians at Xerox". In 1999, partly for incorporation purposes, and partly at the request of Xerox, GALAXE changed its name from the acronym 'GALAXe' to 'Galaxe Pride At Work' (no acronym). Xerox also changed their policy on the group's use of the digitized (red and colored) X, as well as the Xerox name in the GALAXe logo which ultimately led to a search for a new logo. Although these are retained in some of the online documents for archival/historical reasons, the GALAXe acronym and the digitized X GALAXe logo are no longer used by Galaxe Pride At Work and there may be consequences for their continued use.
