Galaxe Pride At Work is the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered Xerox Employee Resource Group.
The group came into existence in late 1992 from what was originally a distributed electronic mailing list for gay and lesbian employees throughout Xerox called Lambda. The first official slate of Service Board members was elected in August 1993 and served for the following year.
We are now one of several corporate recognized employee resource group and Galaxe Pride At Work works to promote the welfare of, and offer support to Xerox's gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees.
The Galaxe Pride At Work Charter outlines our mission as follows:
Galaxe Pride At Work is a formal organization for Xerox employees who are or who support gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered persons. Galaxe Pride At Work's mission is to offer support and visibility within Xerox and beyond to its members, and to provide an official point of contact between its membership and Xerox Corporation, as well as with other gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender organizations external to Xerox.
Our Service Board members volunteer employees who are elected for a year term. Their roles and responsibilities are outlined in the Charter and they are a communication link between employees and Xerox corporate.
While Galaxe Pride At Work provides services and information to Xerox employees and their families, Galaxe Pride At Work is a separate legal entity and is neither owned nor controlled by Xerox Corporation.
